Celler Viader

Celler Viader is the personal adventure of Eduard Viader. An agricultural engineer by training and enthusiast by vocation who, in 2009 and at only twenty-one years old, began the path of producing his own sparkling wines.
For more than a decade, Eduard's adventure took shape in a small cellar in the center of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia until, in 2018, he discovered an old abandoned farmhouse surrounded by vineyards very close to Espiells: Can Rossell de la Llena. He immediately knew that it would be in that place where his life adventure would continue to take shape. A renovated farmhouse incorporating sustainability as a fundamental pillar of the winery and with the will to promote and value the sparkling wines and wines of Penedès.
At Viader, grapes are vinified from their own estate, as well as from neighboring plots in the north-eastern Penedès area. An area with shallow, clay-calcareous soils that provide sparkling wines with a high aging capacity. All sparkling wines are stacked, riddled and disgorged by hand, and cork stoppers are used for the longest-aging ranges, keeping the most traditional sparkling wine crafts alive.
