FESTIVAL
The first CORPINNAT Gastronomic Festival closed with a great turnout: 2,472 guests attended the 65 dinners served by 59 restaurants from across the country in remarkable settings at the CORPINNAT wineries. It was the first time a food festival had drawn such a large audience to Penedès, and that summer it was one of the vineyard activities that attracted the most people.
Ton Mata, president of CORPINNAT, was very pleased with the public’s response to this food and wine experience, unprecedented in Penedès at the time, and announced that the brand had already started work on the festival’s second edition for 2022. “We would like the festival to become a leading annual event to showcase our territory and our sparkling wines, and I believe that, despite the restrictions resulting from the pandemic, we have got off to the best possible start,” said the president of CORPINNAT. Ton Mata also wished to highlight and thank the restaurants for their commitment to the festival and for the high standard of cuisine served, always paired with a selection of the best CORPINNAT sparkling wines from each winery.
All the dinners were held in remarkable settings at the 11 wineries, mostly outdoors, and always in compliance with the health measures in force. Compared with the initial plans, and precisely because of the pandemic, 5 of the 70 scheduled dinners had to be cancelled and one was postponed.
At CORPINNAT we publicly expressed our gratitude to all the chefs and restaurant staff who took part in this first festival, as well as to all the staff of the wineries Gramona, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté i Coca, Torelló, Huguet-Can Feixes, Júlia Bernet, Mas Candí, Can Descregut and Pardas, whose efforts made the first edition a success. We also thanked the 2,472 people who placed their trust in our proposal and enjoyed the dinners.
