FESTIVAL
The inaugural edition of the CORPINNAT Gastronomic Festival closed with great success: 2,472 guests took part in 65 dinners presented by 59 restaurants across distinctive settings in CORPINNAT cellars. This marks the first time a gastronomy festival has drawn such crowds to the Penedès, becoming one of the most vibrant vineyard activities of the summer.
Ton Mata, president of CORPINNAT, praised the public's response to this unprecedented initiative in the Penedès and announced preparations for the 2022 edition. “We hope the festival becomes an annual benchmark to spotlight our territory and sparkling wines; despite pandemic constraints, we could not have asked for a better start,” he stated. He also expressed gratitude for the dedication of participating restaurants and the stellar quality of food served, paired with selected CORPINNAT wines from each winery.
All dinners took place in distinctive winery settings, primarily outdoors in full adherence to current health protocols. Due to pandemic adjustments, 5 of the 70 planned dinners were cancelled and one rescheduled.
CORPINNAT warmly thanks all chefs, cooks, and restaurant teams who participated, as well as the staff of Gramona, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté i Coca, Torelló, Huguet-Can Feixes, Júlia Bernet, Mas Candí, Can Descregut, and Pardas. We also extend sincere gratitude to the 2,472 diners who shared this initial celebration with us.
